Nature
Written for Children
From Such a Little Seed
I planted such a little seed
And left the sun for it to feed.
The seed was hungry and grew and grew
Into a sunflower tall and true.
Daisy Chains
Chains of daisies around your neck
Don't let the blackbirds near you peck
Else to hospital you will go
And it won't be with a broken toe!
THE OWL AND THE TREE
An owl sat upon the branch of a tree
Twit, twooing the fact that he was free.
"You are bound to the earth my friend," sang he.
"While I fly through the air – quite free!"
