The Twickenham Museum
The Twickenham Museum is the history centre for Twickenham, Whitton, Teddington and the Hamptons. Even our location at 25 The Embankment is a part of local history: a charming Grade 2-listed waterman’s cottage dating back to circa 1720, it stands adjacent to the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, on the local history trail which runs from Richmond Bridge to Twickenham. We regret that the Museum is currently closed due to health risks imposed by the COVID-19 virus. Please visit our website and follow us on Twitter to discover interesting facts, beautiful art, fascinating objects and fun Twitter quizzes related to our local history. When it is safe to do so, we look forward to re-opening on Tuesdays & Saturdays, 11.00 am to 3.00 pm, and Sundays, 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Admission is free.
