The Landmark Summer Art School offers you the opportunity to discover your creative potential. Enjoy a moment of uninterrupted time to develop your art skills with individual tuition and guidance.             

This course will focus on the mixing and handling of colour and how light can be used to create mood and atmosphere in a landscape. Art historical reference of a range of artists’ use of light and colour will be shown in the form of a slide projection. There will be a focus on both traditional styles and more modern approaches to colour. Artists highlighted will be Turner, the Scottish Colourists, Emile Nolde, Matisse and the Fauves. The course will include working outside when possible, depending on weather conditions.

Fee: £150 excluding materials (a list of materials required will be provided)
