Discover the fascinating history of what Horace Walpole, creator of Strawberry Hill House & Garden, called his "enchanted little landscape", set on the banks of the River Thames in Twickenham. You’ll walk across lawns where Pavlova danced, an elephant marched, and parties lasted long into the night – while at every turn a new vista of Walpole’s magnificent white Gothic castle will delight the eye as it has done for 270 years. No wonder he called Strawberry Hill his “land of beauties.”
