    Off the Beaten Track

If you're heading off on holiday soon and looking for some photographic inspiration, then don't miss this talk to Richmond & Twickenham Photographic Society from Ann Jackson and Dave Rayers.  Their images ably demonstrate that it's often the behind the scenes moments that can really convey the spirit of the place.  They are members of Carshalton Camera Club and have been passionate photographers for 30 years.  Check out their work at www.annjackman.uk and www.daverayers.co.uk

A Visit from Miss Prothero & An Englishman Abroad

A Visit from Miss Prothero & An Englishman Abroad

    by Alan Bennett

    Directed by Jenny Hobson

A Visit from Miss Prothero.  Alone and recently retired, Arthur Dodsworth’s relatively settled life is turned upside down by a visit from his vindictive ex-secretary. Ironic wit and compassion mark this touchingly real story.

An Englishman Abroad. Moscow 1958. Exiled British spy Guy Burgess encounters actress Coral Browne on tour from the 'old country'. Invited to lunch at Burgess's shabby apartment, he presents her with a strange request.

    The Lonesome West

Welcome to beautiful rural Connemara, where violence, murder and suicide are local recreational activities. Psychotic siblings Coleman and Valene share a remote cottage and perpetual disputes over the most mundane of topics. Only the alcoholic, ineffectual priest Father Walsh strives to reconcile them. Add a visit from teenager Girleen, the local poteen supplier, and a shotgun and....

Violent, outrageous and very funny, as one might expect from the author of ‘The Lieutenant of Inishmore’, ‘The Pillowman’ and ‘Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri’.
