  • Just do it. Two local authors reflect on the business of being an author & the challenges of writing fiction.

    Local author Rhidian Brook's The Killing of Butterfly Joe came out in 2018 & the film of his third novel, The Aftermath, starring Keira Knightly will be released in the same year. Tor Udall's well received debut novel, A Thousand Paper Birds, set largely in Kew Gardens, was published in 2017.

  • Swing Patrol Ealing

    Join us for our beginner friendly swing dance class every Wednesday night at Ealing Town Hall with the fabulous Katie & Christian!

    Our teachers are friendly & welcoming and will ensure you enjoy the class. The aim of these classes are to have fun, meet some other Londoners and learn a beautiful, joyful art form!

    CLASS DETAILS

    7:45pm – 8:45pm: Level 1 Beginner swing dance class
    Our beginners class always assumes no prior knowledge, so absolute beginners are welcome to join us any week. There’s no need to book in advance or bring a partner. Just arrive ready for some fun!

    9:00pm – 10:00pm: Level 1.5 Improvers swing dance class
    This class builds on the content we covered in Level 1. We’ll teach more moves and more technique – if you were comfortable in Level 1 why not stay for the second class?

    Taking more than one class on the same evening? Your second class is half price – just £5!

    SPRING EXHIBITIONS: HAM IS WHERE THE HEART IS

    Developed from an oral histories project, this pop-up exhibition explores life in Ham and Petersham over the last 80 years through stories and pictures.

    This exhibition was created with support from the Heritage Lottery fund, Ham United Group, the London Richmond Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the Library Services.
