HELIOCENTRIC
Awaited, to worship.
Seeds sown carefully
or dropped carelessly
by birds. Tended with love
and devotion since lockdown.
Virus defying, alien spirits
mocking England’s gloom.
Majestic, elemental.
Passion of Van Gogh
in a Surrey garden
setting ablaze a grey
summer morning.
Daytime Catherine wheels
appearing to whirl, pulsate.
Idols of sun and fire!
