Beautician
Sleek in your crisp white coat
You’ve practically facialed my skin away
And arched my eyebrows to dizzying heights
Let alone the permanent mascara
And painted toenails filed down to oblivion
My skin shiny from paraffin wax
I’m running out of body parts
Next you’ll be cleansing my soul
I wonder what colour you’d paint it
With your rows of vibrant nail polishes
And, imparting a hefty tip, I’d finally feel cleansed.
A treatment that actually worked and I’d
leave you, twenty years younger!
